wolfsite: Stranglehold is showing up as 9% off...... I find this funny for some reason, probably still pick it up later today.
Such an attractive discount... NOT! :-P

IronArcturus: Do you know if that DLC "Arena" game is needed for Neon Chrome?
You don´t need it. The base game is the full version. The Arena DLC only adds a game mode where you can fight endless waves of enemies.
Funny how GOG always chose to use the pic of the game with the smallest discount available (in this case Stranglehold) to attract customers.

Thanks for the info!

NuffCatnip: Where's my Amid Evil, where's my Dusk?
Bummer... :(

Oh well, anyhow, I can wholeheartedly recommend Ion Maiden/Fury, Project Warlock and to some degree Bombshell, which has a lot of issues, but a lot of charm as well.

Unreal Gold is a no brainer. :)
I'm also a bit surprised Hedon also hasn't been discounted.

Oddeus: Hm, neither Wrath nor Prodeus discounted... I´m slightly dissatisfied.
Hard to discount something that's not even for sale yet (in Prodeus' case). ;P

Oh, right, I thought it was "in dev". :)

Enebias: Any opinion on Hellmut and Nosferatu?
Nosferatu's kinda cool, though quite challenging. As Oddeus said yesterday, the castle's layout is semi-randomized on each playthrough, so you can't know exactly where to go to find the different relatives and others you need to try to rescue to win. (Despite what Oddeus said, though, there's a proper save/load system -- no permadeath, so no need to start all over from the beginning.) There's also various cool, vampire-appropriate weapons, though not all enemies are vampires. Also, the point is not to rescue all your companions before the monsters get you (rest assured that you will be getting "gotten" quite frequently), but before they can kill your companions -- and they will kill the others periodically, one by one, until the time limit's up. (Yeah, you're on the clock.) There's also at least one boss fight. (I never got very far, mind you.)
If you can stand a little early '00s indie jank, and don't mind the proto-roguelite aspect, it's worth picking up at the current discount.

In this case (and probably many others), they're leading with a GOG exclusive that was "out of print" for many years. That, coupled with the fact that it's still a relatively recent addition here, would also be why the discount's so small in the first place.

Might be the reason but it is also completely misleading seeing a pic of a game you hoped to get discounted with a text beneath "Discounted up to X%" (with X being a high number) so that you jump out of your chair click on that link and get disappointed. It's the same tactic many companys do when they try to get the customer to their side even when the good things are not discounted. Recently GOG just added games to their sale that did not even fit the theme (theme was isomentric games and they added chains of satinav - a 2D point and click) just to be able to write "Discounted up to X%" even though the only game discounted to X was one that did not fit the theme. It might be usual but it sure is not exactly clean or nice.
