SmollestLight: The link isn't wrong since we wanted to introduce our Product Team and their game recommendations to everyone, even when they aren't on sale :)
To avoid confusion, we have adjusted the wording!
No discount for Frostpunk GOTY?
"Loop Hero" (the yet another roguelite) has quite addictive mechanics. Simple (or not?) idea, great execution. I was astonished when I realized the achievement.
Hopefully Devs have been well paid for their execution there.

Plokite_Wolf: A good chunk of these titles are not even discounted.
Yeah, this is frustrating.

It's called a sale... the main page lists it as a sale...

... and...

... most of the titles on the page ARE NOT on sale.

If it's just a list, don't call it a sale.

And it still is called WEEKEND SALE.

XYCat: What does Zowie recommend though? :D
>What game should I get from the staff picks selection?
I am not sure, what you have in mind. Maybe one of the topics below is the one you're looking for?
1️⃣ Why I can't install the game?
2️⃣ What can I do if I purchased the wrong game?
3️⃣ Can I get refund?
Choose topic:
>Can you recommend a game?
What is the title of the game?
>I'm asking you.
We're sorry, but we were not able to find a game under such a title.

Not enough mentions of Galaxy 2.0, the mother of all clients, at least two out of every three options should be for Galaxy 2.0, after all, that's the point of a DRM-free store. Maybe as the bot gets "smarter" it will realize that :)

The most interesting thing I think is the product team. 6 members, no women. While I'd expect more male applicants for a job at a video game company, really, 6? And as women generally have better social skills, you may have a higher success rate convincing developers to publish their games here if you had hired some.
Why does it matter what gender they are? Most of these games don't interest me. That's all that matters.

www.google.com
Is this also a.k.a the curation team?.
Really surprised they expected people to just buy a game full priced based on their recommendations....

Lol, did you get lost on your way to Twitter?
I can't say they're to my taste exactly.

Only good games on there are Hollow Knight, Pharaoh, and KOTOR.

it's been an indie hit, big success and it's a smol team, so I believe the game is already well paid back. Also, they got the EPIC monee.

DoomSooth: Why does it matter what gender they are?
It doesn't, an all-female team would be equally bad. The problem is the lack of diversity. Different qualities can complement each other, making for a stronger team. That doesn't even mean that every group or every quality has to be represented equally, but some diversity can help a team a lot to function better.
Most of these games don't interest me. That's all that matters.
Since these people also play an important role in what games become available on GOG, I'd say it matters. However, if you are equally happy having your games on Steam, Epic, Ubisoft, EA, etc you would be right in that the games not interesting you are all that matters to you. The product team is completely irrelevant for you in that case and since this is not a sale, this entire news post/blog blurb is completely irrelevant for you.

An announcement that isn't a sale, game launch, preorder notice or giveaway? I thought I was on Facebook!
