Is Darkest Dungeons finally updated? Or is it still the old version?

Dead Cells : only the base games is on sale .

Redshirt / Political Animals / The Last Door series should be cheaper .

The last update is about adding a DRMed multiplayer mode. I would be very surprised to see it added to the GOG build of the game.

GOG still provides the latest DRM-free build.

Sadly the devs also never bothered to add achievs, for those who care.

I would love to get access to them for this game if they were sanely implemented: in the game engine itself, like it is done for Faster Than Light (no in-game effect outside of the pride), Reus (in this one they unlock game content) or Bastion (here they give resources that can be used to improve stuff).

But I could not care less about achievements tied to a store client like GOG Galaxy, since I am not going to use that no matter the cheap incentives.

Yeah, ingame achievs are the superior ones.
And if they're well integrated in the gameplay (e.g: in Gungeon they unlock stuff) it's even better.
But sadly, Steam created this situation with achievs like for the workshop and we can't do much about it :/

Well, there is something I can do about this situation: I do not buy games from Steam, and never takes DRMed achievements into account (like the ones tied to Galaxy usage) when considering the value of a game ;)

Same of course for DRMed multiplayer modes or other "rewards" unlocked by installing and running some spyware.

Oh, I boycotted Steam for like 2 decades (freebies included, until Connect) and it didn't change anything.
At least supporting Gog did something more.
