Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes! Also discounts.

Be you a veteran or fledgling gamer, it's a safe bet that you won't come across a more fascinating ensemble of characters than the one living inside Disney's rich catalog: there are Sith lords and gunslingers here, clueless pirates and headstrong archeologists, a purple tentacle and a blue genie, hooded mystics and land sharks - plus some of them are even made of LEGO bricks!

Take a moment to meet them all, they make for quite the lovely company.

The special Disney Sale ends October 19th, 10 PM UTC.

Caesar.: Excellent choice! :) This was my first adventure game, and the one that made me fall in love with the genre.

Matewis: Got stuck in Fate of Atlantis, and instead of starting over I figured it's better to try get stuck in this one instead :)
Good luck then because it's way easier to get stuck in the Last Crusade, not to mention half the game feels like completely unnecessary padding and badly designed. You also don't get different gameplay options/difficulties unlike in Fate, so be prepared for a lot of fisticuffs unless you have the items you didn't know you needed/couldn't find. It being an abridged version of the movie also leaves a lot to be desired and not necessarily coherent for those not familiar with the film. It's old, but it ain't that good.

All I'm saying is Fate of Atlantis is a far better game and going to the Last Crusade is a huge downgrade in quality in pretty much every aspect, even disregarding the age difference between the two.

Already have most titles I want from this sale (still waiting for a better discount for Aladdin, The Jungle Book and The Lion King). Someone recommends Armed and Dangerous?
Still waiting for Hercules. :(

I have the absolute complete polar opposite opinion on these two games. I consider Crusade far superior to Fate on all levels.

I expect Last Crusade to be the weaker game mechanically yes, especially since I already know that Atlantis is excellent. Still, I want to finish both games so it makes more sense to start with the weaker one and move onto the stronger one, which is what I should've done from the start.

Linko90: Because it's a 'weekend deal' so like every weekend deal, it runs for the weekend.

Yes, like last week, there will be a new weekly sale.
The Disney sale is a week deal, not a weekend deal.

"The special Disney Sale ends October 19th, 10 PM UTC."

Also it was even called a weekend sale then renamed to a special sale. (So technically there is no weekend sale.)

It even says Disney week in the URL for the sale.

Gedrean: Dear GOG,

*ahem*

Don't fucking reference Duck Tales if you're not gonna put in a Duck Tales game.

There, I said it. Getting our hopes up.

Also:

Please, stop calling these sales "Disney sales".

We all know what this sale is:

LucasArts Classics, and a couple of SNES Disney games thrown in for effect.

Linko90: Dear User

The games are now all owned by Disney, hence the use of 'Disney sale'.
So much of this.

Sure they may have been made by a different company, But lucasarts no longer exists. Now all the money goes to the enrichment of die fürher maüs So who cares who originally made it? Buying them now just further empowers Disney to do even more horrific things, usually to once beloved IPs.
Hey, how come I missed Maniac Mansion ...?
So it's this and Curse of Monkey Island for me. Thx, GOG

You don't have to buy it if you own Day of the Tentacle Remastered .
Game within a game: Includes full playable version of Maniac Mansion!

I'm currently wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Mickey Mouse with a Hitler moustache on. On the other hand I'm glad to be able to pick up some cheap Guybrush while I have the chance!
Excellent, there was no way I was buying The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Jungle Book at full price. I've been waiting for this one. :D
What I've played:

At 2.50 Tron 2.0 is a great deal, a fun sci-fi FPS. Jedi Academy is a fantastic game too, and if the price is competitive to Steam's discounts, I wholeheartedly recommend Jedi Academy

Legal reasons probably prevent this, like why it's an "EA sale" instead of "Origins/Bullfrog/Maxis", though perhaps LucasArts could have gotten a shoutout in the blurb.

@GOG: don't forget to mention Lucas' old flight/war sim games (especially Strike Fleet for one of our forum regulars).
