Machinarium Collector's Edition, Gone Home, The Cat Lady, Evoland, and more up to 70% off.

The Indie Twenty, like Ocean's Eleven, but with way more game. We've been spoiling ourselves with huge bundles all week long, but not every single game could make it to the party. This weekend, at up to 70% off (with one at -80%), we offer you twenty beautiful, independent titles that don't need no bundle.

Machinarium Collector's Edition is a beautiful point and click puzzle/adventure, one little robot's story of love and overcoming adversity, which still manages to be an original, unforgettable adventure with puzzles that are all about logic, not trial-and-error. Gone Home is one of the original "walking simulators" - go in expecting a new experience, not a typical gamer's game, and you will find the freedom to participate in a captivating story built from scattered bits and pieces, and from that which is written between the lines. Original, disturbing, memorable - traits shared by the two terrifying point and click titles: The Cat Lady and Downfall, low-fi by design, they'll teach you a new meaning of uneasy. The Samaritan Paradox, with it's special old-school charm, offers more high-quality point and click indie design, and if you're looking for other modern spins on retro gameplay, check out the back-to-the-roots Retro City Rampage DX, or Evoland, also known as an evolving history lesson in game design.

Every single item in this weekend's Indie Twenty has a noteworthy, unique quality that should be experienced at least once. Pick and choose from these twenty indies at up to 70% off, until Tuesday, April 21, 3:59 AM GMT.
Hopefully, there will be something for me during the next bundles. This one, though? Pass.
LOL, first user post was by a spammer XD
(before Grargar)

By the way, I'm tempted by these:
- Ishar (probably a golden s**t, but it's always so shiny!)
- Depths of Peril (could be nice, but maybe Din's Curse is enough)

Anodyne is an exploration game which requires some skill. Botanicula is an exploration game which requires no skill. Both are awesome.
Another promo while the Bundle Tower promo is still running? Didn't expect this one. :)

For me it's just an Indie Nine, and at least two thirds of those nine I already bought from other sources, but I guess that's just proof that these are all worth owning. ;)

Thinking about it now, can games like Gone Home really be considered "walking simulators" though? As silly as the term is, I can see why it could be applied to Dear Esther, but Gone Home is more of a "poking around simulator". There's much more reading, listening, examining going on than walking. :P

Some skill to adapt to awkward jumping mechanics, in any case. And lots of patience. ;)

The exploration part is awesome though.

If you don't own Downfall and The Cat Lady then get on that! The Cat Lady in particular is in my top five favorite games of all time.

Both feature gritty very unique graphics with muted colors and very graphic imagery, along with excellent stories and great soundtracks that feature tracks that range from industrial, to experimental, to piano/orchestral ballads, along with more "normal" soundtrack-ish type stuff.

Downfall is more of a traditional point & click adventure game at least in terms of character interaction (mostly mouse based) and its isometric-ish view than The Cat Lady. You're Joe and you and your wife Ivy are forced to take shelter in a hotel due to an impenetrable storm. Of course things quickly go from bad to worse and you realize that the hotel isn't quite as nice as it seemed. You'll be forced to do morally questionable (and outright wrong) things at times, as you work your way through the smoldering remains of what was reality, to get another chance to prove that love will not tear us apart, again.

The Cat Lady isn't a direct sequel to Downfall and it features its own unique 2D view and a different interaction system (movement and interaction is mostly arrow key based), however it's still set in the same universe with a couple of cameos. You're Susan Ashworth, you're 40 years old, unhappy and lonely, and you've taken a whole lot of pills so that you can finally leave this mortal plane, with a parting shot of "thanks for nothing".

For Susan death isn't quite the sweet embrace it would seem, indeed the pain stays but the nightmare grows. After being given a second chance (at a cost of course) at life you're tasked with many things. Whether it's keeping Susan happy enough to avoid a breakdown or maybe it's killing an impolite family of cannibals, whatever the task may be, it usually ends with death. However the darkness can eventually lead to light, as Susan finally finds the lengths she would have to go.

I don't understand why GOG continues to sell Downfall when the developers of the game made it available for free since they are working on a remake. The game is also free on Desura as well so it seems the only place where its still being sold is here.

I think they should have a discussion regarding this with Harvester games/Screen 7 and make the game part of the permanently free games on GOG.

The developers said that whoever paid for the game, will get the remake for free.
I think I have all these here and elsewhere.. I will check later on and see if I need to add any of these. Lots of good games here

Maybe they were referring to the people that bought the game before the remake was announced or the original game was made available for free. I guess we'll find out when the remake comes out, but still seems a little weird to me that its free on one store while being sold on another.
Nice, wasn't expecting a weekend promo with the bundle tower sale going on. There are a few in here I'd like to pick up, but none of them is that high up on my wishlist so...
