I attended a wedding where the after-party was held at the bride's place of employment - and yes, she got up there and danced on the pole for us.

Nobody's going to top India. We're talking about a place where if you're born with six fingers (or similar) you're worshipped as a deity. India doesn't like to be beaten in the Wacky Traditions Championships. If anyone comes close they go one better.

Relax, I'm pretty sure Kyrgyzstan is one of those made-up countries that doesn't actually exist, like Liliput or Wales.

Lionel212008: In India, according to hindu customs, if an astrologer deems a woman to be a manglik (apparently cursed by the gods or something) then she must perform her marriage rites by taking a dog as a husband (I kid you not)...that is before she marries her actual husband. Unfortunately, the dog is not allowed to consummate the marriage.
Reverse of that exists as well, a north Indian acquaintance of mine got married to a tree in his house. I'm pretty sure he didn't consummate his marriage, so we won't be seeing any Groot for now.

I just can't picture that working in Europe. :P
