OHMYGODJCABOMB: Unfortunately, Ghostlight LTD support still hasn't responded, but for some reason the game is still available for purchase on GOG as well as on Steam.
I contacted Ghostlight in January too with an inquiry about achievements for WotSi4 and future possibility of WotSi1+2 on PC. No reply to this day, so I guess that means "No" and "No" respectively. So don't hold your breath either here.

PixelBoy: For all practical purposes, delistings are only possible in a digital age.

Back in time, there would have been a certain number of physical copies, and then at some point they simply had stopped pressing more copies, but the already existing copies would remain in circulation.
Exactly the reason why it's depressing to see anything digital get delisted esp. if you put it on its head - i.e. digital keeps selling even without any further effort, very much the polar opposite of a limited quantity physical copy.
Another day, another GOG delisting.

toxicTom: Thanks for heads up.
Was this thread Stickied? If so, then it was the antithesis of a heads-up, because Sticky-ing a thread is the #1 most surefire way to render it totally invisible to the majority of GOG's userbase.

It would have been exactly the same as if the thread had never been made in the first place.

I never saw this thread before today even though I was on this forum every day since it was made. I'm sure the same is true of most other GOG forum goers as well, who likewise would have never seen it if it was Stickied.

Real heads-ups about some delistings used to occur, before GOG implemented this absolutely horrible, relatively new, make delistings invisible by way of Sticky-ing their announcement threads policy.

Damn, I wanted to play that one and I just found out about the delisting. I hope it reappears soon.

SpaceMadness: I haven't played WOTS4 yet though. I'm not sure if I should grab it asap or risk waiting for another sale.

Grargar: You are in luck. The game and its DLC are currently discounted by 80%:

Thanks, I'm buying it now.

I just saw this...might be my fault I don't know. I wish store pages could be left up, with a "not available" instead of add to cart. Every time we lose the game card of a game we bought, with all its info.

jcoa: Seeing as how Acquire brought Akiba's Trip to GOG very recently, I'm guessing this expiring license is on Ghostlight's side, meaning we'll probably soon lose WotS 4, the Agarest series, and Elminage Gothic too.
thanks for the heads up, I bought Elminage Gothic to be on the safe side. I can't get the Agarest games now - and they are not a priority.

idbeholdME: It was a sticky until today. Which, funilly enough, makes it even easier to miss because who looks at the sticky threads :P
I think it should be in the news in the first page. And yes, I overlook stiky because I don't expect them to be fresh news. It's where I would look for forum rules and such.

I would have appreciated more than 2 days advanced notice.

Everyone would of course. I just found out now after the fact. :) GOG has said this many many times in the past though, that whenever they have to remove a game from the catalogue, they let us know publicly about it as soon as they are aware of it and allowed to share the information publicly. If they're told by the publisher 1 or 4 days ahead of time however, then they can't let us know about it before they're even aware of it.

If we get short notice about games being removed from the store, it is ALWAYS going to be due to the actions of the publisher and not GOG knowing about it for months and just not telling us.

On the upside, sometimes a few months passes by, or a year or so and a game that was previously removed has whatever legal matters resolved and returns to the store. Hopefully that'll happen with this game too. :)

Finally!

We now have a detailed explanation from Spike Chunsoft.

Long story short, publishing rights are now being transferred from Ghostlight LTD to Spike Chunsoft. Until it's done, the game will be unavailable for purchase, which means that it will also be removed from Steam in the next couple of days.

Awww, missed this game now as well. Let's hope it returns soon. :)
It was posted by what appears to be an official Spike Chunsoft profile on Steam that the publishing rights of the game are being transferred from Ghostilight to them, so it might return here on GOG as well? (or maybe people could ask the new publisher for that?)

Yes. As always.

My first task entering the forum day by day is searching for new sticked removals and I have missed NONE so far.

If no one is reading the titles of the sticked posts, their problem. Sorry.

Same here. I haven't missed any delisting since they're stickied. Luckily for me, there were no games I was interested in.

For people having trouble with sticky threads, probably the best solution is to read them all, and they'll lose their highlight. Next time something is posted in them, it will pop more visibly among the others.
Way of the Samurai 3 and Way of the Samurai 4 are no longer purchasable on Steam (but their DLCs are, go figure). Spike Chunsoft (who will likely be the new publisher) hasn't signed a deal with GOG as of yet, so Way of the Samurai 4 might also be removed from here.
WotSi 4 too is no longer available for purchase on Steam. GoG version might be pulled very soon as well, not just the 3rd game. Seeing as there are no Spike Chunsoft games on gog (probably deemed too niche or something), I wonder when will they return.
