I've installed Wasteland 3 on my external hard drive and it crashes at the most awkward moments. I need to somehow transfer the game so it's installed on my internal hard drive and may not crash so much. Is it possible to install the game on my E drive and keep the save games as I've been playing this game for some time and loving it but don't want to start all over again if I have to reinstall it on my internal hard drive? Thanks - David.
Furthermore can I use GOG engine to transfer the game to another more reliable hard drive?

What is a “GOG engine”? Do you mean galaxy? As for install, I have no idea about galaxy as I wouldt use it, however games store their saves as files, quite often in the user area. According to pcgamingwiki (which I can’t check right now):
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Wasteland3\Save Games\
Into a windows explorer will send you to them. You can copy the files (even keep them as backups of for future use).
Now when you uninstall a GOG game - not using galaxy - it asks you if you want to remove saves, if you choose no, then reinstall - from the offline installers - the saves will be there. I don’t know if it’s the same with galaxy though.

It's like a steam engine, but uses support/refund tickets for fuel.

To move the games installation folder:
Close galaxy > Move folder to desired directory > Open Galaxy > Go to game > Manage Installation > Import Folder > Select new directory

Thanks so much for your help but can't find "import folder" in your list of options. I was thinking if I use GOG to uninstall the game will it save my save files so when I reinstall it it will still load them?
Thanks
David.

I guess?
Your options are to move it like I described, or uninstall it and reinstall it somewhere else. There's not much point reinstalling it elsewhere when you can move it. If you uninstall through galaxy there's a prompt whether or not you want to also remove your save data. If you're using cloud sync you can also download your cloud sync as backup or you can copy the saves elsewhere to back them up.

Save location is:

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Wasteland3\Save Games\

When I go to "manage installation" as you described in your last post there is no option that comes up with "import folder". Could this be I don't have the most up to date version of GOG installed? Sounds easy to move the game to another hard drive and just do this. Thanks again.
