Elmofongo: Its very difficult to convince people otherwise.
In other words, people are completely incognizant of the cause-effect implications of their actions. Color me unsurprised.
Love to see a few reviews from neutral fans.Ie non warhammer fanatics to get a fair view of the game on its own
It would appear that Denuvo does more than I thought, even phoning home to its own servers to authenticate on first run (or if you change hardware):

warhammer total war is very good .I love the game. The batlle is fantastic. The best warhammer game with dawn of war 1.
As a Total War fan, yay. However I will probably get it in about 5 years from now.
I love the Warhammer universe, but I'm not sure I'd like the Total War style. Isn't it real-time? I really only like turn-based strategy, not big on RTS style.
Dude I get you hate DRM but so far I do not have any techincal issues that DRM is making this game bad.

I find it rather unnoticiable on my rig.

But personally I do wish this game to be on GOG anyway :P

Where did I say it was causing technical issues, aside from there most likely being a reduction in performance?

By the way, I never personally encountered any problems with the SecuROM used on BioShock and other games prior to obtaining cracks for them, but that doesn't mean that the restrictions, performance hit and potential to cause problems wasn't there.

It's better that people find out about this stuff so that they can make an informed decision about whether they really want to spend their money & support and encourage its use.

Accepting & supporting the use of DRM by being so willing to buy games that use it makes it much less likely that those games will come here though :/

Speaking as a huge Total War and Warhammer fan, who's not that adverse to Steam, I'll almost certainly get this ... in a sale some time late next year.

Thanks all you guys who're beta testing this one for me! I look forward to seeing the fruits of your endeavours.
I've been burned out on the historical Total War formula for a while, but Total War + Warhammer is sounding awesome.

I'll consider it once the avalanche of faction DLC for it is released and packaged with the game.

Hasn't there been cases of PC games getting their DRM removed and I mean not just being released on GOG?

Like Dark Souls got GFWL removed in time.

Take it from me the game is working fine so far.

Only 2 complaints but this could be on my rig. There are occusionally sudden pauses like loading pauses during heavy battles that can be annoying at times.

And for some reason they decided to shoehorn in this internet thing where right clicking on things in the menu like unit boards opens a window that is clearly made for the internet just to see a guide.

Why does a feature like this NEED an internet connection?

But all that is small potatoes when I can see Archaon the Everchosen and Karl Franz 1 vs 1 each other.

(And Archaon almost always wins)

These are the factions that are missing:

High Elves
Dark Elves
Wood Elves
Ogre Kingdoms
Tomb Kings
Daemons of Chaos
Chaos Dwarfs
Beastmen
Lizardmen
Skaven
And if possible the Sigmarines (Just look up Warhammer Age of Sigmar and you will understand what I mean)

Right now the ones I care about the most are the 3 Elven factions, Ogre Kingdoms, and Chaos Daemons (perticularly the Khorne ones)

Some have but it's rare and mostly happened with much older (pre-Steam) games. Nowadays it's often just a case of replacing one DRM with another (usually Steamworks), e.g. in the case of Dark Souls it's still DRM'ed, it's just that they replaced GFWL with Steamworks because Microsoft shut down GFWL. Other games have had the same transition from GFWL/other to Steamworks, e.g. BioShock 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum/City, etc. but it's still not a common thing. Most games seem to be abandoned after a year or so.
