ssling: After Grog'tial said his bit: "An' how do ye propose we ambush a bleedin' fleet?
"I be glad ye asked! Forewarned be forearmed!"

Grog'tial proceeds to lay out his tactical thinking. "Assuming the shipkin are willing," he looks askance at Bellandra, "they give us unparalleled mobility. I happen to have here this portable hole, which Pearl, possibly accompanied by someone with a water-breathing potion - and/or Kyp, if we can find him before the fleet arrives - can strategically place on one of the lead ships of the fleet, somewhere far below the waterline. There should be some shipbuilding expertise available in town which can usefully speculate about the best location to place it (I'm personally thinking on the side, to help the ship capsize and cause the greatest obstruction), and how swiftly a ship of a certain class will flounder given the - rather significant - diameter of the hole. If we time it right, said floundering can really hamper the rest of the fleet, as they'll also need to avoid the reefs. While they're busy with that, someone sitting on Zephyr can swoop in and drop first some flasks of oil and then some burning torches on their sails, plus a cupcake or two on whichever ship looks to be most advantageously positioned for maximum havoc." Grog'tial gulps as he remembers his previous experience riding Zephyr, fingers his backpack-parachute, and steels his nerves. "I'll volunteer for that, if Argy is also willing?"

"We should expect counter-attacks, of course, but might be that Bellandra is willing to use her sextant to allow us to cause maximum havoc for an un-interrupted minute right as those get underway? If both a magical fog and a lightning storm would also appear as that minute ends," he eyes the Count and Gilius, "several of those ships should run aground on the reef and/or each other. Yonder lighthouse we've seen off shore should give us a great overview of the area to help plan the details."

"Now, I haven't yet thought through the implications hidden in the rest of our equipment, but we have time to prepare, and I'm sure we can perfect this plan further. Could we use the harpoon gun to snarl some crucial lines? Topple a mast somehow? Is there any way to make Zephyr stronger, so he can carry something heavy like an anchor or large rock to crash through the deck? Also, there can't be any love lost for the DRM fleet in this town, so we should be able to rouse up some assistance, too."

Captain's Log -- Mission 7 - Turn 29 -- somewhere in The Weirding Sea
Moments before we were about to embark on our mission to acquire ingredients for Hagsbane, One of our crew, Kyp, has gone missing. This does not bode well with me or the rest of the crew. His disappearance could not have come at a more dire time when we need every able bodied man and woman ready to take on the Hag that is hell bent on devouring our souls.... and our flesh. However, Grog'tial managed to find something out about Kyp. "Smuggler saw 2 figures beach farside docks. Yours?" read the message. Could mean that Kyp left with someone willingly on another adventure leaving us to take on the Hag ourselves. As if that wasn't bad enough, recent news from Devin has proven that we may be facing another foe real soon. Commodore Beckett.

Upon hearing the news of Beckett's incoming fleet and Grog'tial's information about Kyp's potential whereabouts, BenKii speaks, "We may no longer have the luxury of seeking out Kyp. He seems to have left us for another on an unrelated quest. I don't know what we can do against the sheer number of Beckett's fleet but I say we hide out in the brothel and finish our quest for the Hagsbane. Hopefully the ladies will keep Beckett's men busy long enough for us to get what we need. As for Beckett himself, we'll figure that out later."
