I found THE SIMS 1 at a charity shop. Days later, I found some expansions: Livin' It Up, Hot Date, On Holiday, Unleashed and Superstar.

I added the NOCD executeable and started the game in admin mode. And it just, you know, worked! I don't think I have even played this one before.

So I created a sim, and to be super nice, I bought him a TV. But now he just sits there. I try to hint that he may want to use the toilet, or answer the door or .. something. But no, he is watching television, and do not wish to be disturbed. Bastard!

Okay, screw him. I just start over.

Heh, sounds like the Sims got absurdly realistic in the simulation! But maybe you've blocked him with the table in front of sofa?

Removing the table did the trick! Nice! :-)
