Some of you might appreciate this program I have just whipped up.

You can find out further background information here - https://www.gog.com/forum/normality/to_get_us_voices

https://www.gog.com/game/normality

Basically the game Normality comes with original British (UK) voices, but Americans especially are used to American (US) voices. My program helps you toggle between the two if you manage to score the American version files ... perhaps you own the CD ... and there is also a patch available.

If you have the patch and haven't yet run it, this is what you see.

Once you have used the patch to set it up, you see this.

My program can also set the game sound to be either Stereo or Mono (default).

BIG THANKS to Sweetz (patch) and Nilex (audio).

DISCLAIMER
While my program endeavors to be careful and does backup things, it should go without saying that you should perhaps do your own backups too ... especially for game saves (which my program doesn't do).

Thank you!
Regarding the US subtitles.

This tool follows the instructions of the "original" patch NormalityUsVoicesPatch.zip which state that the ONLY two files needed to change the game's version from UK to US are NORMAL.GOG (the iso) and NORM.EXE (the game's executable).

That is wrong and results in a game with the US voice actors but the UK subtitles.
Thus far, people somehow thought that this is how the US version of the game was originally made.

In truth, the subtitles are handled by a THIRD file, LANG.DAT.
The US LANG.DAT can be found in the US iso file (NORMAL.GOG.USA).

So, in order to ALSO switch to the US subtitles, one should:

Rename the original UK LANG.DAT file (CRC C567F6C9 / 254 KB) to something else, for example LANG.DAT.UK
Open the US NORMAL.GOG iso using 7-Zip
"extract" the US LANG.DAT file (CRC 84ADDEB8 / 276 KB) inside Normality's main folder.

The easiest way to test it is, right after starting the game to go to the kitchen on your right, "use" the kettle once to boil the water and then "use" it again to pour the water in the coffee mug.

If it says "Easy does it..." then it is the UK LANG file.
If it says "Whoah! Singe City" then it is the US LANG file.
@KeyperOS - Thanks for that added information and instructions.
