By this I mean science-fiction settings where the technology has regressed, or is antique (using old copies). Spacecraft and spacetravel is common, but politically, economically, culturally, technologically, society has regressed, old knowledge of science has been forgotten.

EDIT: Excluding Warhammer 40K, of course.

It's not really how I see Dune. There are no computers (no "thinking machines"), but the rest is pretty high tech.

Anyway, try out Rimworld, maybe. Spaceships, but the rest feels quite low tech.

There's a huge Taboo about making and using machines that can substitute or make what a biological organ can. Although most of the low tech feeling in Dune comes from personal shields being so common, as they stop bullets and tend to go nuke when hit by a laser. So battles are usually back to cqc.

Err... what he said.
Kharak, the planet on which the events in Homeworld - Deserts of Kharak are talking place is more or less a desert planet and has always reminded me of Dune/Arrakis. There's no sandworms or spice, but plenty of ancient (as in ancient advanced technology) artifacts on it.

You've also got the fact that even the Great Houses can only raise armies which are quite small by "our" standards. It's mentioned that when House Atreides left for Arrakis, all their army and frigates could fit inside a single Guild ship, in fact they only took up small fraction of the ship's capacity.
