It would be nice to have the Version Number of games listed in the Description area on the games page.

Useful to know what release the player is purchasing beforehand.

I agree, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Perhaps when the entire site gets updated again, in a few years. Or when Galaxy allows all devs to push patches themselves.

Albeit, for myself I have to admit it doesn't say much if The Great Indie Game I've Never Heard Of Before is version 1.2 or 1.3, but if it helps some people, sure why not?
