Apparently, they are including a copy of a Black Flag, Rogue, Watch Dogs or Far Cry 3, along with all the GOG extras like Neverwinter Nights.

I can't tell if you have to use Uplay's DRM. I hate Uplay's DRM that it has very little temptation, but still..... that is more game for your buck than even GOG is offering. Whatever, its worth purchasing here just to support CD Projekt Red, which is such a rare developer.

Seeing as GOG allowed me to use my steam keys to get DRM free copies of Witcher 1 and 2 maybe the same goes for Witcher 3 bought from Uplay?
Not really more bang for your Buck, more like they are trying to entice more people by offering something for free that doesn't cost them anything (because they own the game/IPs), and all the games listed are titles they are probably normally put a 75%+ discount on...

I won't consider DRMed games or forced clients like Steam/Uplay/Origin, so this is ultimately a futile deal; In my opinion anyways...

GOG has no such plans for Witcher 3, for the time being. If something like this is enabled, it will happen later.

I hope not. It would be a very bad idea for GOG to allow backup copies on for Witcher 3, as it would surely kill their sales in the face of such deals.

Which is why they haven't admitted to having plans for doing it yet.

Once the main sales are out of the way though and the game's been out for a while there's really only benefits to them doing so.

This, crap games and no DRM here.

With that perspective, though, all games 'don't cost anything.'
Just to make it clear, it's only one title of those mentioned in the op + Neverwinter Nights + comic.
The only problem is that no one has the Witcher 1 & 2 discount on there. That's probably why they're offsetting that cost with one of their games. ^^

AC Rogue and Watch Dogs are the more expensive titles. The other 2 are better acquired on sale imo.
That deal would be good if you were ok with UPlay. I only use it for Ubi titles, since when they're on steam it makes you use both.

They'll have to pay X for games of other publishers, but not for their own.
They screwed me over on a sale/promo before. Now I don't trust them.

Not quite. If GoG wanted to give games away with no issues, they would do their own games (Withcer/Withcer 2); If they wanted to, oh say, give away SPaZ for example the devs/publisher would be screwed on revenue so GoG would probably negotiate a sale deal (75% discount) then just pay the 70% of the 25% for every copy they give away. So say a $10 game drops to $2.50, and 70% is $1.75 per copy. If there's thousands of copies, that's far from 'free'.

But Witcher/Witcher 2 there's literally no cost to them because they don't have to pay anyone or get permission first.

A glitch on the other hand giving 100 people a copy of Spaz for free can probably be written off, or maybe they will silently lower their return to 25% instead of 30% until those 100 copies are paid for properly. I'm not sure.

Exactly what I was meaning... Which is why Ubisoft's games for 'free' don't cost them anything, and they probably don't make huge amounts of sales on those games currently anyways.

It's been a while since I bought a Ubisoft game. That sucks that you got screwed over. At least now you've been enlightened, my child. :P
