I didn't even check, what's on sale and I doubt, I will for the remaining year. Hardly checking the news for releases, because I know, I won't buy anything in the near future.

The update notification only shows when the offline installers are updated. Sometimes it takes a few days for offline installers to get updated.

Games were updated and available to download. No notification. I only found out about it through the "what has been updated" post, and just randomly checking games.

That would be fine with me too. Just something straight forward to determine what's been updated. I did find it kind of odd that there were never any dates listed with the files to indicate when they were updated.

Seems to be hit or miss now. Most games seem to indicate an update, but not all. For example Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord just got an update a day ago but never showed as an update. Another game the other day did the same (forget which one).

I had the same issue with Bannerlord never showing it needs updates.

Noticed it stopped the other day when the latest Baldur's Gate 3 patch dropped. No notification an update was available despite that it was already ready to download.

That's because it is listed as "package" which has a different ID than the actual game. Look here:

There are a lot of games that never get an update flag because of that. :(
