JomVanFliet: Never say never, or so they say. We'll see in 5 years, I suppose.
Until then 99,9% DRM-free Cyberpunk 2077 is acceptable in my book, especially since the missing 0,01% of content are nowhere near make-or-break and you can do without just fine.
While this is technically true I see it a bit different.
The reason for any pre-order bonus is to give an incentive to make people oder at full price (so basically you are paying for it). When pre-ordering on a DRM-free store one should expect to get the pre-order bonus without DRM as well. When this did not happen people complained and GOG told us on release day that they will fix it and that it was not intended. They never fixed it and so I asked CDPR support who then told me that there won't be any offline installer since it is not possible.

So they lured me into paying full price for the product then tried to calm me down by explaining that it was not intended and will get fixed and last but not least lied to my face by telling me that it would not even be possible to create an offline installer for a pre-oder bonus (which countless other devs did without any problem). That is why they lost me.

However I am fair and each CP2077 update I contact them, telling them what I expect and that I won't come back until they fixed this. Ball is in their court - as long as this has not been fixed they can tsell their next Witcher or CP game to anybody else - I'll stay true to my principle. Yes, I am aware that I am only one person but at least it makes me feel better :)

SargonAelther: Please generate offline installers for each "My Reward" as well as the Phantom Liberty Pre-Order bonus car lottery event.

Please also make the art booklet and the digital comic a downloadable PDF, not a stupid website that will die once you shut the servers down. Such behaviour from CDPR is like a slap in the face for GOG users.

LiefLayer: I agree.
I will never buy this game unless 100% DRM-Free expecially from the GOG owner.
Also multiple people asked me if they should buy The Witcher 3 and I said no for this reason (and I'm still on the pre-next gen update to avoid drm on my copy of the game).
Can someone please present a short description about what the problem with The Witcher 3?

I mean the messages are pretty self-explanatory lol, both TW3 and Cyberpunk have content locked behind MY REWARDS and twitch drops

Although I'm not sure if you can't simply spawn the items with console commands
Same thing as with Cyberpunk 2077 - a couple items (two sets of armor + weapons, if I remember correctly) that are only available upon logging in to a REDLauncher account from within the game's start/main menu.

Obviously many people are miffed about that, even more so since CDPR ignores any and all requests for an offline installer (similar to the ones for the 16 free DLCs from back when) that unlocks these items without having to log in to a REDLauncher account first.

All of the Twitch crap was added to the game with Phantom Liberty. They can be purchased from the black market vendor in the stadium or will appear in the airdrops.

None of it it worth getting upset over, there are already better weapons you get earlier on in the base game.
Still waiting for the option to disable autosaves.

Last time I checked you could only get the NUS infiltrator set with console commands, just to name one thing I remember

And it's not a big deal to me, I'm perfectly happy with the other hundreds of sets lol but for some people it could mean the difference between buying a game or not

Of course it does, if you do not have access to content of your purchase. Unless you use client which works as DRM on "anti-DRM" shop....

It is matter of principle for some people. Although I bough it when it was discounted, I can totally understand them.

I hope, that CD Projekt do not plan similar fraud with their future games.

The messages are self-explanatory, but I was not sure they presented the issue in full and if The Withcher 3 content was also cosmetic in nature.

I see. Nothing to be happy about, for sure, but also nothing that would impact their sales or cause a mob to surround their offices and torch the place down.

Certainly CDPR is warming the water slowly. Exclusive digital content is silly. It is artificial scarcity. What is next? NFTs (I am so glad that finally died!)
lost epic $ on Fuckpunk because we just snorted all the dev money = lets add some drm and put it on sale again
