Twine brand says SecureLine. Spun cord, natural fiber, low quality, probably 35lbs limit or less, utility, probably use it in gardens, simple tasks or for arts and crafts.

550 is Parachute cord, military, named 550 because that's the weight it was tested at and supports.

Curiously Paracord actually has 6 different classifications, but the most commonly known is type 3 which is 7 inner strands. Although commercially avaliable cord usually isn't actually Paracord and far weaker, so don't trust what you buy at the crafts store or Walmart :P

So... when people say "twine" do they mean Twine? Or when they say a sharpie do they refer specifically to a Sharpie marker? Some brands become umbrella terms that embrace similar objects from other brands, while others do not. Us, outside of the US, do not know which ones (since I never noticed Twine or Sharpies in here, and we only use generic terms to refer to them).

I think in general Twine is just general natural cordage, although if it's from Hemp, Sisile, grass or some other material depending on what they can cultivate there. Some hemp and other types of plants will give you strands several feet long supplying very strong and robust lines; Although the push for synthetic lines is... a little saddening.
