Just wondering if I will be able to play this game with Steam players.

I'm reasonably certain UT2004 doesn't use Steamworks for multiplayer, so it should be possible.
I don't own it on Steam, so I can't confirm it unfortunately.

I think I might still end up getting it. Love the fact that you can play against AI. I'll see if I can find anything online. Thanks for the reply.

Well I found this topic on Steam in which the OP is directed to an outside website for information about multiplayer servers.
I doubt they'd do that if it was purely Steamworks.
