I hope they portray Nathan Drake as a nice and gentle guy in talky bits and during action sequences when he kills his 1,000th bad guy he comments something about cinemanarrative dissonance.
I hear you. I love open world games but can't devote that much time what with the family and work. Linear games are great when you have limited time. And I wish there was How Long To Beat integration to GOG Galaxy 2.0. I often use HLTB to find a game in my library that I can finish in one sitting or weekend, depending on if I have an afternoon or a weekend without wife and kids.
