I made an account and read the forum rules so I could post this.

Yesterday I found two pending charges from my card on GOG.com, even though I have never had a GOG account. I've asked GOG support and it only sends me to unhelpful forums. How do I get GOG to stop these purchases?

Don't you have to go to your credit card company to dispute the charges and then have the charges removed?

That is the usual policy for unauthorized purchases for most credit card companies.

That sounds bad. Maybe it could be an overreaction, but I'd consider blocking that card. Because if you didn't use it, somebody else has access to it. And I assure you, GOG, or any other store, can't conjure your card's info from a thin air.

As for that annoying bot on Support pages - just bear with it, after several failed attempts to help you, it'll ask you for your email and then what's your problem.

So someone stole your bank data and use it to pay on GOG and instead of decline the payments instantly, blocking the banking cards you created a GOG account to ask Tech. Support if it was initiated by GOG and why, seriously???

Change all your payment data and secure it now!
GOG isn't making any purchases. SOMEONE ELSE is making purchases on GOG with your credit card.

In order to stop that:
- contact your card issuer, have them deactivate your card and send you a replacement
- challenge all fraudulent charges on your card
- report the credit card fraud to the police
Do you have a son?

If you do, then it was probably him, "borrowing" your credit card.
Check the location of the car keys too...

I should have clarified. I knew someone else made the purchases, but I wanted to know if GOG could stop that purchase. I also just found out that GOG doesn't have live customer service (odd), so thank you for this advice.

Actually it has. If the bot won't able to solve your issue, you'll be directed to human support. :)

Can just as well be a daughter.

A clarification is in order I think: the human support is not a live chat with a person (something you could potentially expect, as you're using a chat box), it just allows you to open a ticket and wait for an email from a support representative. Which could be days if not longer.

Good point! Perhaps I misunderstood the OP a little.
