CarChris: 1) I find it strange that
there aren’t game-specific threads for games that aren’t sold on GOG. Even for very popular games. I mean, the publishers/developers of those games, who don’t want their games to be sold here, they forbid even talking about these games here? Related to that, if a game gets delisted from GOG, its specific thread gets deleted too?
2) As is the case now, we can check to receive emails when a game from our wishlist goes on sale.
Could it be made possible to individualize it to the games? I mean, one can put to his/her wishlist as many games as one wants, but he/she might be caring for a specific few of them to buy instantly when they go on a discount next (it might be the next game in a series he played the first game of it, and he’s immediately interested to buy the “2”). Whereas, if he checks the box to notify him about discounts, he will be sent many emails about all other games in his wishlist, which he is interested in them on one hand, but not right now.
Remember to search for and vote on any such site feature wishes that you can find in
the appropriate section of the Community Wishlist. If you truly can't find any existing wishes that fit your idea after running various searches with different terms or combinations thereof, then obviously you should create your own wish[es]; however, there's likely at least one extant wish that would fit what you're asking for, at least for the idea in your second point.
Here's the search results from a CW:Features search that has a couple wishes that might serve. Also, if you want to promote any wishes (yours or others') for other people to vote on, I created
a thread last week for just that purpose.
Lastly, not trying to dogpile, but I'll second Geronimo's sentiment that "thread" and "topic" mean the same thing in the context of internet forum structure, and are interchangeable; what you're referring to are game- and series-specific forums (or subforums, depending on how you want to think of this overall Community section's structure). : )
