I am buying a bunch of gifts for someone, but GOG won't let me buy DLCs for games I don't own, even as gifts now?
I've done so in the past (I know because I bought DLC while they were on sale and added them to a game I bought at a later date. But now I can't buy 2/3rds of my order?

Can anyone elucidate me?

What do you mean when you say that it won't let you? I just tried with 2 random DLCs for games that I didn't own, and there didn't seem to be any issue. I don't get any notice that I don't own the base game when I tick on the gift checkbox and the pay button is green. Does it stop you afterwards?

Edit: Hmmm, after I added a game that I already had to the order, now there is a notice that says "You can't buy some of the products. Please review your order." Yet, the pay button is still green. Is this the issue? If yes, does it stop you after you click the pay button?

Weird. I just added a bunch of DLCs for games I didn't own and the pay button is active for me. Does it still not work if you slim down the purchase a bit? Not even if you just try to buy one piece of DLC?

yes. Not sure why that happened where the payment button wasn't active. But it worked on my second attempt. Love this janky site.
