Lügen haben kurze Beine. (Lies have short legs)
Fressen wie ein Schleuderaff (Munch like a hurling ape)
Besser den Spatz in der Hand, als die Taube auf dem Dach (Better the Sparrow in the hand, than the dove on the roof)
Wie man in den Wald hineinruft, so schallt es heraus (How you shout into the wood, is exactly how it sounds out of it)

Da wird ja der Hund in der Pfanne verrückt! > There gets the dog in the pan crazy!(?) I don't know... Poor dog. ^^
Geh scheißen! > Go poo! Right saying: Fuck off!
Herein, wenn's kein Schneider ist! > Come in if it's no dressmaker! Not often heard these days. This means someone is allowed to enter your room(s) but I really don't know why we say/said this one in Germany. Maybe the dressmakers were the society's bad asses once.^^
And this one is a Chinese saying I believe, not my mother tongue but I really like it: Wer den Tiger reitet, hat Angst abzusteigen. > Who rides the tiger fears to dismount.

And about the Schneider, I heard from my Grandfather that it was original Schnitter, reaper.
