Breja: Fuck me, can we not even discuss fucking Bill & Ted without someone whining about "woke" shit that's not even in the damn trailer? Second post too, the thread didn't even start and it's already fucked. Bill & Ted were always well-meaning idiots, that's one of the central jokes of the whole franchise.

God damn this shit. I can't, I just can't with you people...

"Actress Samara Weaving has revealed that the daughters of Bill And Ted will be smarter than their fathers in the highly anticipated comedy sequel."
Have you ever watched Bill & Ted? Its one of those idiot-duo movies. Probably even one of the blueprints for idiot-duo movies. You will be hard pressed to find anyone in that franchise; no matter the gender; not being smarter than these two. Announcing that their two daughters are smarter is like announcing that water is wet.

You know who is also not smart? Those picking up that ball like a buried hatched and unleash the dogs of internet outrage culture over it. Declaring to the whole world (well, at least those that have watched B&T) that they either never watched it or worse did not got it.

Well, you got a point there, has been some time I've seen the movies. I am at a point where I'd rather see Hollywood stay away from old franchises and I guess I am oversensitive to those articles, forgetting from time to time that those headlines are exactly written to be click bait

Come on, I just can't see Keanu in that role anymore, not after the John Wick movies. It is as convincing as Arnold Schwarzenegger would be in romantic comedies.

Keanu seems to have developed a similar wooden actor symptom as he has aged as what has happened to Bruce Willis over the years. Bruce was such a rubber face comedian back in the 80s in the TV series "Moonlightning", and he was still the smirking funny guy in Die Hard. Slowly but surely he became more and more "rigid" and wooden in his acting.

Maybe that is what age does to most of us. Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey might be exceptions. maybe.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: You see this exact agenda being pushed a lot lately, like in the most recent Star Wars films, and the most recent Terminator film, and the most recent Charlie's Angels film and Star Trek: Picard, and the Harley Quinn film, and the latest James Bond film that is coming out soon, etc. etc.
This reminds me that thank god someone is still making movies like John Wick 1-3, which a meat-eating heterosexual white man like me can still watch with a clear conscience.

So in that sense I don't care if there are movies like Charlie's Angels (the newest one) or Birds of Prey or the new James Bond, I don't have to watch them. I watch John Wick movies instead. John Wick is like The Witcher of Hollywood.

For others, there's always this:

Happens to the best of us. There are a lot of clickbaiters; be it questionable articles or youtubers from all walks of life/political sides that totally explode stuff out of proportions like the world is ending.

Thinking about it; be it T&Bs medieval girlfriends; or the twins from Dude, where is my car... or any other movie of that kind... they are always smarter. But as said, considering the protagonists in these: Not really an achievement :-P

Imo everyone should be free to show a reasonable level of emotional response at things should they so choose.....whether that makes them dumb or not is more subjective than objective.

Also tbh I applaud some(a few) of them for at least getting emotionally invested in things.....getting too invested in too many things is bad, but so is not getting invested in anything at all(or very little) & seemingly trying to live in a detached state from most things.
