It's mostly due to the typical "who owns the licences these days" problem.
At least we have a good part of the Microprose catalogue

I know, it just makes me sad.

Currently the old Microprose catalog seems to be spread between the nuMicroprose and nuAtari, titles previously in hands of Retroism

Other old Micropose sims like the first F15 Strike Eagle were released in Steam and shortly were delisted.

Gunship 2000 is apparently in the limbo or completely forgotten. And is basically the only sim title left from the Microprose DOS era. Strike Eagle and the first 8 bit Gunship aside.

We also need Flight of the Intruder (my first sim on the Amiga, it came with a map to put markers on for the mission objectives) and a more action oriented game, LHX Attack Chopper. It was one of my first PC games ever which I played in CGA on the 4MHz 286 bridgeboard inside my Amiga 2000c.
I hope GOG one day remembers that F29 Retaliator (also from DID) has been on steam for a couple of years now.
Tornado is live on Steam! Hopefully on GOG soon!

Yeah, how the Gunships and Strike Eagles aren't available is beyond me, truly.

Great. It appears to be the 1.0E version, Desert Storm Data Disk included, this is, the extra Addon Campaign. The original languages when the game was published are available too. The manual (an exhaustive thick book) apparently is also available but probably only in english

Apache and Hind fans (available on GOG) will be at home with the engine and menus, but this was their previous sim, low res VGA. and is a completely different monster with its own intrincacities, even more complex. It competed with Falcon 3.0 in hardcoreness. The manuals are essential.

Now let`s hope the release is paralel to the Steam version, or if we have to wait longer.
Hi Frankie Kam here.

Haha I'm the dude, who's been making changes to the FLIGHT.EXE which is Tornado's 3D simulation engine, since 2017. See: the dogsofwarvu.com forum link in one of the posts of this thread. So nice that Interplay, who owns the rights to Tornado, has brought it to Steam. Perhaps GOG next, I wouldn't be surprised. The dream would be for a mission expansions pack to be also released, but for this to happen, a lot of work has to be done, with the original object map tools not available, that will be very, very tough to pull through. Tornado, the classic as it is, even without any extra bells and whistles, is already an outstanding product, and was Digital Integration's flagship product. Even though it runs in 320x200 pixels(!), the 323-paged manual is a classic, and its dynamic campaign and Advanced Missions Planner set the bar high for years to come since 1993. I also run a Tornado Discord sever. You can DM me to get the invite link.
