I asked Runic Games on their Twitter account about the possibility of Torchlight II ending up on GOG Connect since it's not fair that the owners of physical copies are the only ones that can reclaim their games on GOG and this was their reply:

"I'm sorry that's not something I can help you with here, but I passed on your thoughts to those who handle the partnership side of the biz!"

I also sent them an email earlier today, we will see what are their thoughts.
Thanks for all the help everybody, did you get a reply yet, PainOfSalvation (from email) and MaxFulvus?

Nothing yet.

I forgot i'm a friend with Brian Ward on Steam (Runic Games Community Manager), when i got an email from him, i asked him directly about GOG Connect and physical copies/TL games from Runic store being able to reclaim on GOG and his reply was:

"We're aware of it but they seem to only run that as a time limited promo-type thing. It's been discussed but what we're doing here is a long-term (non-expiring) offer for all previously purchased Runic keys."

Also if you bought the game on Steam (like i did only cause the game wasn't here on GOG) they won't give you product (CD key) to activate it on GOG.

As you can see, it's up to GOG and Runic if & when Torchlight games would be a part of GOG Connect, the only thing we know is that "it's been discussed".

_ChaosFox_: Before I go writing to Runic Games, all I'm seeing on that page is "My Products" and under it "Torchlight II - Linked via Steam". Clicking on it looks like it should do something but doesn't. Am I missing something there?
That's the same thing that happens when I click on it - nothing happens. I don't see any key on the page.

Rezon87: Well at least i managed to redeem my physical copies of Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky :P
I redeemed a Steam copy of Clear Sky before which was pretty nice. I don't own Shadow of Chernobyl or Pripyat yet, but hope to get them in the future sometime. I'm watching someone stream the game right now, pretty wicked.

If you're interested in Stalker series, you should also find S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha Developer's Cut interesting as well. It's completely free and stand alone (ie. does not require you to own or have any game of the original trilogy installed).

PainOfSalvation:
So, Runic Games answered me.

"Hi there,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. To clarify: Shortly, we will be making it possible for people who purchased the Runic installer of Torchlight and Torchlight II from runicgames.com to reclaim their Runic key (matching: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) on GOG.com. Unfortunately, Steam copies are not eligible to be added to GOG in this fashion.

Best regards,

Brian Ward
Community Manager
Runic Games"

It seems that our last hope is a GOG Connect feature in the future.

MaxFulvus: ~ ↑ It's up there ↑ ~

Thanks for keeping us up to speed, though!

Someone's prayers seem to have been heard (read). :-)
BOOM! Love you guys!

dyosoft: Do you guys plan on adding Torchlight games in GOG Connect? I see the game in reclaim page but Steam does not give key when purchased
Wow, that was lucky. Barely a week after you asked the question Runic went and put the Torchlight games on GOG Connect. Maybe it was all because of this thread you started.

Replying to you directly because I'd hate for you to miss it.

I'm going to hazard a guess that it was in response to this thread that GOG approached Runic.
