Klumpen0815: It usually refers to someone who doesn't drink alcohol or like in my case no coffee either.
i think, alcohol is so expensive there that there are definitely many people drinking very rarely at the most.)
i have many bottles of spirits in my home bar but i dont drink them, i just like that shapes of botltes and luxury look. i have few beers per month, but alcohol is not a thing i cant imagine my life without.
fishing for trouts at a crystal lake is definitely better!

flanner: is it so easy to get finnish citizenship? i will may try it! :)
Not sure why, but here are the prerequisites:

http://www.migri.fi/finnish_citizenship/applying_for_citizenship

So, live in Finland continously for over five years, don't commit any crimes, learn some Finnish (or alternatively Swedish which is much easier to learn, but less useful in most parts of Finland)... then you'd probably be successful in applying for a citizenship. Not sure if it is easier or harder than in most other countries. Yeah, getting Japanese or Thai citizenship is supposed to be much harder, I've heard of only one westerner being able to get thai citizenship, ever.

Note that Finland has a compulsory military service (in the Finnish army), so who knows, depending on your age (and gender), maybe you'd have to serve in the army for awhile after receiving the citizenship. :) Not sure in which cases they invite someone to military service if you are already over 18 and all...

Klumpen0815: It's bloody cold
Yeah can be in winter, especially in the NE and eastern parts of the country. Depends what you are used to I guess. E.g. now it is about +2 C degrees here where I live in the southern parts. I hate it, too warm, the snow is melting to disgusting slush.

Klumpen0815: and said to be the depression capital, would fit me quite well too.
Bad news, Finland might be a happier place than the stereotypes say:

http://www.euronews.com/2015/07/02/finland-tops-european-countries-in-latest-happiness-survey

But if you intend to commit a suicide, Finland is still probably a good place for that. There are many exotic ways for you to do that here, like in winter drilling a hole on an icy lake and jumping in, or wrestling with a bear or a reindeer or both.

Or if you prefer an urban setting, jump the queue by a hot dog stand on a Saturday night when people are getting home from bars and queuing for something to eat. This is the #1 cause of death for Finnish men, dying by a hot dog stand on Saturday night.
