Potzato: Nice to have you here OP but ....

.... why do people keep calling ourselves 'gogers' ? That's just an horrible name. 'Goglodytes' is the usual non-official word and it's so fitting. Not that there was a vote as far as I recall (A vote on gog ? AH!), but I believe it was kind of consensual.

Are people on steam called Steamers ? Are the most invested of us 'steamers originers gogers ' (sogers for short) ?

Edit : but if you old people find it easier to remember, please by all means carry on :-)
I don't have a problem with "GOGer" (or "GOGger", or "Gogger", as you please); I'm not so fond of "GOGlodyte"/"Goglodyte", though. I kinda wish "GOGnard" had caught on, as it perfectly describes a lot of the "Good Old Gamers" that used to be at the core of the community, as well as a lot of the still-quite-numerous fans of RPGs, strategy games, simulations and just plain-old retro games that are quite popular here. All this without the 'subhuman' overtones. Ah, well, people will call themselves what they will. : )

He was a friend who Landeril let use his account (it was explained in a couple other threads), and he bought some games in it as a thank-you. I think he was trying to reply to one of Landeril's own posts from inside that account (which doesn't work without editing shenanigans), and replying to your reply to him was the nearest he could get. :)
