I hope this gets noticed and fixed by GOG, because I'll forget all about it by the year 3000 when I finally work through my backlog, and get to play Thief.

Until then +1 for the great dedication of the OP! There was a problem, he figured out what the problem was, he searched for a solution, he found a solution, he fixed the problem, he contacted GOG support, he posted on the forum.

GOG Support closed this ticket and set it "Solved", while in fact it is not.
The staff claimed that their product team will fix the bug.

I want the bug be fixed. I do not want a will-be-fixed-bug.

Yeah that's weird, it's clearly not solved if they haven't fixed it yet.
Maybe they're trying to meet a quota of solved tickets. ;)

You should be able to re-open the ticket. If you want to re-open it.

Martek: Please read my long post where I describe the issue:
The person in your link explained why it was moved, why the file is out of place. It's not needed for GOG's version to work fully.

If your installing a mod its your responsibility to edit the install to work with it. Your changing and modifying the base delivered game from GOG. I'm with the guy in your previous post on this, GOG should not be expected to keep a release "mod ready" if it could potentially hurt the over all game as its sold in its default state.

Always best to play it cautions and hand install all prerequisites for mods to ensure full compatibility. That said, moving that one file squirrel.osm from docs to base should be a stickied solution to get modern mods to work.

Not weird, GOG always closes a ticket as soon as the first reply by a human is provided.

That they do that by default doesn't make it less weird. ;)

"Blame the victim"

BAD ADVICE

I'll post in more detail in the Thief thread, later.
GOG's official reply (Ticket #183015):

Hello

Yandros was kind enough to update the release post on TTLG forum:
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148371
There are plans to update the campaign to v1.1 and merge all the language versions, this version should also include the squirrel.osm file.

Genoan
