DrazenCro: Anyway, where exactly I need to check - just to be sure and to check once again. I'm using my email every now and then
https://www.verizonmedia.com/policies/ie/en/verizonmedia/privacy/index.html

They make it as difficult as possible to opt-out by splitting up the permissions so you need to visit each company and select the same switches for each, making it a much longer and more complicated process than it needs to be.

*Made a mistake. I remembered it wrongly, it's not AutoTires, it's AutoBlog. Not that it makes a difference.

Wow, I really didn't know that I have more than 10 y old mail at yahoo, I've even discovered accounts like twitter though I do remember using it for a while and dropbox, 4gb storage with dropbox - last used 6 y ago, what... :)

Thank you for that, it is easier to click on delete account, especially since it is not in use, then to opt-out all those.

Speaking of sh1te moves by Yahoo...something semi related:

Ever since they disabled comments on their "news articles", the amount of ads disguised as news has gone up & the quality of the remaining actual news has gone further down into the toilet....even more so than before(didn't even think that was possible with yahoo news, tbh).

Eh, Yahoo is one of the few "easy"(relatively speaking) to sign up email services that's left. Others often either want cell phone validation, other info(for your "safety"), etc...just to sign up and/or use the account.

(This is likely due to many of them folding or merging with other providers of email services)

So while it's not the best, it's better than nothing.....especially in a world where more and more use such things over IRL mail and the like.

Yes, am thinking of moving all my mail to: https://protonmail.com/
May even go for the paid tier. Getting fed up with the data scraping and ad pushing that the others do.
Now we can do it that way the whole day...create your own email server and problem solved.
I've been getting that yahoo email junk for at least 6 months. It's why my yahoo email has evolved into literally nothing more than my pizza offer spam email. In other words, I use it as the email for ordering pizza online. Yahoo keeps trying to put ads into the emails list, and other such things.

Sounds good.

Me? Eh, I don't mind if they see the spam I get or serve me ads....though I can see why others like yourself might not want to deal with such.

Pizza mail, other restaurant mail, sales emails, spam, scams, etc. That is like the bulk of my email...and I expect that of many others as well.

I'm considering the same thing. But I think I'll use Protonmail for all my personal emails (banking, friends, etc.) and keep my Yahoo for all of the other marketing/newsletters crap.

Thanks for that link. I just signed up.

Am I the only one to get this email? Is it a UK thing?
