renegade042: I dunno about that. I thought "30$ is a great price", but then I watched a gamestar video on TQ2 and they said
that the game will be released in acts. So now I'm thinking its like Starcraft 2 and each new part of the game
will be an extra charge.
Found the Q&A that I read, it's not on the game main's page but on epic games' store page (not sure if I can post link here, so I'll just copy-paste):
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
We plan to develop additional masteries, new content and world segments, stories and quests as well as new supporting features to enhance the game’s longevity like crafting. We plan to release these things as Early Access updates as soon as they are ready. The cadence of updates we plan is small updates (bugfixes, balancing, minor polish updates) monthly (can be skipped if nothing major is needed) and major updates roughly every 3 months which will add major new features, mechanics and/or content.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
The Early Access pricing will be significantly lower than the price of the completed game at the release of version 1.0. We plan to increase the pricing in stages until the launch of version 1.0.
So based on that it doesn't seem like it's going to be a SC2-model, more like a Songs of Conquest model, where they added the faction campaigns for each race - among other things - one after another (they did not charge extra for those, though). So here, that would be equivalent to more acts, I guess, or further quests if the game is not split into acts, and they will increase the price as they release these new acts / quests as patches (probably) for the base EA game.
What kinda worries me is that "significantly" lower price... it's 24€ now, with 20% discount, 30€ full price... so if that is "singnificantly" lower then... what? The 1.0 game will cost 100€? :O
