Downloaded The Witness...It won't open ....just a black screen....I downloaded the GOG app so it would download...I am not technically savvy at all... Pls advise in non technical language.

Can you try it with galaxy? perhaps you lack some api or library and for some reason the web installer isn't sending that error. Galaxy itself requires some api and, maybe, there you might access "by default" to an upgraded installer.

Have you visited The Witness subforum? Try asking there too.
