Well, Thronebreaker have quite interesting story and if you don't like card battles - there are low difficulty and, if I remember correctly, after 2-3 loses they can be skipped.

Totally agree - it is extremely strange that Steam version have achievements and GOG version - doesn't.

I'm in the same boat as you. I preordered TW3 despite knowing I wouldn't have the hardware to run it for years after the launch, as a token of good faith to CDPR. They repaid that kindness by forcing me, like you, to pay more than anyone else for all the content that they released later. I'm not taking that shit but thank you for opening my eyes CDPR.

Right now with the difference in discounts the GOTY costs for me a whooping US$ 9 cents more than buying the Season Pass alone.

You really should try it. I had my problems with GWENT in W3 as well and had a few problems at the beginning of Thronebreaker. However after a while I really began to enjoy it and the story it tells. A lot of the card games in Thronebreaker are optional although these are the most interesting ones since you will have to solve logic puzzles based on GWENT. The GWENT in Thronebreaker also is a bit different than the GWENT in W3. Thronebreaker for me does not really feel like a boring card game - it feels like a VN interrupted with card games (that do look and sound like actual battles because of the animations and sound effects) spiced up with some minor RPG elements.

Question: Is there anything in the goodie package that is not already contained in packages the games and DLCs are offering?

On top of that, we get an incomplete extras collection with a retroactively truncated soundtrack while the GOTY includes the full OST. (Credit where credit is due: Thanks to the giveaway I can now access the complete GOTY version of the soundtrack without having to pay extra cash for the GOTY version of the game. Small mercies and all that...)

I did not know that.
I am not personally pissed at this fact because I don't care much for soundtracks, but I find it disappointing and sad for the others who do want the complete soundtrack.

I'm relieved that at least Gog's recent freebie corrects that mistake. Even if it won't be given away ever again, given the negligible price difference I don't think there will ever be another person buying base TW3 instead of the GOTY so all is fine regarding this specific extra. Not ideal, but good enough.

Unfortunately this stony silence doesn't give me much hope...

Regarding the question you asked later, in the extras there are 8 wallpapers of The Witcher 2 exclusive for the 10th anniversary.

As far as I can tell, just Video Game Show — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt concert from the "Movies" section. (This was given away by itself before now, too.)

And as noted above, this goodie collection's contents are identical to those of the one given away last year -- at least in terms of number of archives & video files included.
