Witcher 3 seems to be locked to 16:9 aspect ratio and there's no way to change it from in-game. I've tried tweaking the settings file but could not find any solution. Also, custom resolutions do not work as well, I've tried putting lower resolutions which are 16:9 like 1024x576 and 896x504 but it seems the game is locked to 1024x768 as the lowest possible resolution. I don't think there's any mod available for this. Even scaling settings from the Intel Graphics command center don't work. At resolutions of 1024x768 or 1152x864, the visuals are stretched out and look horrible. If anyone has any solution please comment so. Thanks!

PS my system config: i5 1135 G7, iris xe graphics 96EU, 16GB(8x2) 2666 ram, windows 10 home single language.

Don't have the Witcher 3 so I cannot test but PCGamingWiki has some good tips, including:

If you want to use a resolution lower than 1024x768, also find FullScreenMode=X and Change X to 1 or use borderless mode
You may want to use 1280x720 wich is a "standard" 16:9 resolution and will mach your screen proportions (if it's 16:9 like most moden laptop screens are. Either 1366x768 or 1920x1080 native)
I still have a 1280x1024 5:4 monitor and many games work fine but if you use that resolution on a 16:9 display, will have either black bars or streched visuals.

Edit, can't post a proper link in the text, so here's the link:

FFS GOG, can I post a proper link?

Just replace the colon with the ASCII code, as it's always been required: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher_3%3A_Wild_Hunt

And damn, that would be an annoying issue, being unable to make it work on a non-widescreen display, or at least not in full screen, without stretching. (Wouldn't know, this computer wouldn't even handle Witcher 2, but my monitor is 1280x1024 and see no reason to change it as long as it'll still work, so may well outlast this computer as well, just like it did the previous one.)
