We'd like to inform you that The Walking Dead game series will be delisted from our catalog, effective immediately, due to publisher request. The process may take some time.

Everyone who owns the games prior to delisting will still be able to access them through their GOG Library.

Right now we have no information about the future on The Walking Dead: The Final Season, but we will keep you up to date if we receive any news.

I really *like* GOG at times like this. :)
Oh well...
Was expecting this for a while now.
Better grab "Back to the Future" and "Tales of Monkey Island", too. They will surely be next, other stores have pulled them already.
Not too immediately, as the games are still up as of this post.

Also, this makes it sound like the removal of these games might be fairly short...assuming the new publisher doesn't decide that keeping the old seasons available on GOG is more trouble than it's worth.
What about the other games from TTG on GOG ?

Should be okay unless or until a new publisher buys the rights. TWD is being delisted because Telltale doesn't own it any more and the new owner doesn't have a distribution agreement with GOG (yet, hopefully), so any profits from GOG sales wouldn't be going to the right people.
The games haven't been removed yet (currently two hours after the initial post), so GOG's definition of "immediately" must be quite unusual.

But it would really be nice if you (GOG) made it more clear whenever games are to be removed (for example by stating it on your frontpage or something), since these threads are easily missed.

Universal had their TTG titles "Back to the Future" and "Jurassic Park" already pulled from Steam. That much about "safe"...

Specially since they don't appear blue either

The OP also mentions that “the process may take some time”. :)
They're sending out an email about it too. That's an interesting thing. That's been a requested feature a long time now. I wonder if it'll be a new standard. That would be nice.

Alas, if the publisher gives the order, you must comply. GOG has always warned in advance every time they could.

I'm here because I just noticed the email. Very nice feature! I hope that extra form of notification continues, and isn't just a one-off for this series.

BTW, it seems somehow appropriate that "The Walking Dead" can be delisted, effective immediately, and yet still be on its feet and buyable. ^_^
