I love Dragon's Dogma -- it's my favorite game of all time (not an easy feat when your favorite genre is WWII shooters) -- but I haven't been very excited by the early Dragon's Dogma II trailers; they didn't look to me like the expected technical and graphical jump between iterations a decade apart. But...

... when I saw the following gameplay video, I was sold:

The game looks really, really good. Almost too good to be released here.

Yeah... fingers crossed that Capcom releases DD2 here

That would need a lot more than "fingers crossed." More like a miracle.

The chances that Capcom is suddenly, and for no compelling reasons, going to stop treating GOG like it doesn't exist, after many years of doing exactly that, are almost zero.
The GoG "weakness" is a complex matter with shortcomings on many spots, but a major factor surely is that some companies, considering themself major, are not supporting anything they do not consider "major" themself. Capcom is one of those... so good luck with putting any trust on it.

Ultimately, it is all about support AND competence too... because with to few competence the people and companies too will slowly lose trust and this means... as a follow up, lower support. DRM is not the main culprit here.

No clue... i bet the average "PC" on those "better platforms" is weaker than the average PC on GoG. Because GoG got more Core gamers involved...

For good looks you will need good hardware... else do not forget to put the sliders all the way down... no matter on what source you was picking it up.

However, it is sufficient if only 5% are making the advertisement and the other 95% are simply coins-provider with a lot of hot air coming out, kinda like steam, from those overheating machines.

For the majority even a PS5 is probably a upgrade... spelling out some hard truth.
Fact is, the PS4 is still the "major console platform"... and on PCs... lets forget about, lets just pretend we never was bringing it up, in order to keep the "good mood" of the PC community: With the mentality "always to be a mile in front of anything else..." at least in their sweet dreams and with lot of theory involved. Fact is, those who are "ahead" are not representing the majority.

And no... there is no need to let yourself being dragged down for no real reason, other than completely unnecessary "bad treatment". Keep your mood high because you are better than you think.

Capcom never even kept Dragon's Dogma 1 up to date on here, you need a fan made patch to bring the GOG version in line with Steam. I can't get my hopes up for a Capcom game showing up here ever again...

Although you may very be right, Capcom did recently claim PC is now their primary platform, so there may be a chance... however small...
Steam, not PC, those are different words believe me.

It is like telling "i only will be eating cereals", while in fact you was just eating corn flakes and those corn flakes got many other vendors selling it to you... just in case you was not getting it from Walmart, but from Tesco or Carrefour instead. In the end it is the same corn flakes everywhere, just some other sources.

Or in short words, a hyped product on a nearly monopolized platform which does not stand for the entire PC environment nor every cereal.

Besides, i was once inside a Tesco when i was in Hungary, and i can tell you... this was my first and last time i ever was visiting it.. i honestly got no clue why this "huge market" even is able to exist because it is, in my view, full of overpriced and cheap crap; i was just shocked. Instead i was just visiting a very small local market and i got the best products there ever... at a comparable price. I will never really understand "the masses". In my country, no such Tesco and i am very glad... because this lack of quality and loveless attitude is unseen here... although there is still enough of junk available here.

I think, "the masses" are working in a way, you only may need a "legendary validated and proven name"; and you can sell the biggest junk ever.
