The Universim is upcoming indie game in which you can manage your planet. Whole planet!

"The Universim is, first and foremost, a planet management game. Your civilization will begin in the Stone Age, thousands of years before the modern era. Research plays a crucial role in the game. For example players will initially need to take on such challenges as reinventing fire in order to survive attacks from wild animals, creating cures for deadly viruses and other potential threats to your civilization. We are developing realistic planets that will have air, weather effects, and varying temperatures as well as natural resources and deadly natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, freak storms and meteors. In The Universim you have a godlike ability to make decisions that play another crucial role in the game. While you will not interact directly with the population that inhabits your planet, you will be able to guide them through their development and influence their decisions for better or worse. Choices in the game extend from ending wars between cities on your planet or watching as one city destroys the other, to influencing the research path of your civilization, and much much more."

Here you can watch the trailer.

The Kickstarter Universim page.

And you can vote for the game to be released on GOG here!

I've contacted the developer, Crytivo Games, about possible GOG release. Alex Koshelkov, game's creator responded (I cite with his permission):

"We plan to sell The Universim on as many platforms as possible. Unfortunately right now I cant give you 100% that we will sell it on GOG but for sure we will aim high. If we will sell game on GOG all our backers will get there key no matter what pledge you chose."

Please support this project! Spread the word, back it on KS and vote for it to be released here, on GOG! :)

That's why I backed it. My first ever KS project backed :-)

Everything looks just right: NO DRM, free DLCs, NO microtransactions. That's a perfect mix.
It does look rather nice, actually.

Thanks for this, looks good.
I'll get on board as soon as payday comes.
It'll be my first kickstarter too. ;-)

I chose the 30$ option - soundtrack is a must have. The music in the trailer makes me shiver already ;-)

You can always (well, in a one month's time :P ) change your choice and back those 10$ more, you'll get the soundtrack as well :-)
I just saw the kickstarter today and thought "There's the game I've been waiting for all my life". Sort of Spore meets Populous. The big question is whether they can actually deliver on their promises. Still, I reckon I'll back it, once my paycheck comes in.
looks good, very ambitious for a kickstarter project.

Thank you all for the support! We will try our best to ensure the game will be released on as many places as it possible can!
