UPDATE

GOG locked an old thread that no one touched for one month.
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_drmfree_video_games_digital_distributors

The thread is over 4 years old.
The thread helped a lot of people to find DRM-free stores.
GOG just punished me because I hope them let Russians and Belarusians buy DRM-free games.
Fuck you GOG. I will never spend any money here.

And I will stop to update my threads.

Let's start from this:

Night in the Woods

yeah what a busted release, I wonder what happened. it's seen a lot of coverage on news media sites, has a good pedigree in Alec holowka, and was even available for preorder. but then it comes out here 5 hours after the steam release, technically GOG after hours, with no banner, and no fanfare at all.

That said, i am a massive fan of aquaria, so I prefer ordered this. hope the devs support it here even if it doesn't get the sales expected.

So this is GOG's first "stealth-release". :D

That's very weird but somehow not completely unexpected ;)
Has this ever happened before? It seems so highly uncharacteristic for a storefront that only gets a few releases on weekdays.

I check the "NEW" tab in the bottom right pain when ever I visit. I do remember seeing a few without news/gamecard about the game happening at the top.

here is a fun fact I finally have proof of... games move fluidly in the "upcomming" section. Battle Chasers moved up 5 slots for no reason other then they were on the 2nd page of upcoming and now are visible on the first. they are going to releases close to ELEX so its very odd.

Lots of weird stuff happens at gog.. also though Gamasutra I read a few devs were asked to not advertise a humble release or gamersgate release if it was DRM free.

Edit: Facebook dropped just took time ^_^

Strange indeed. And more so considering they did create not one but two announcements for this game before: one when it was Coming Soon, and another one when it was available for pre-order.
Finally!

They took their sweet ass time... :P

I think this is to do with what release date they have set behind the scenes -- if there isn't one/it's some default one, or if several titles otherwise have the same date set, then they can shift within that set of games. But if there are three in a row that all have different dates set (regardless of whether any of those dates are set to be visible), they'll always appear in the same order (until and unless one gets released, or has the date changed). That's my theory, anyway.
