It's great that this game is finally available on GoG, but I've had issues getting it to run properly. I've had issues with it freezing at seeminly random points. When I manage to get to the first cut scene all the NPCs appear to be invisible.

I had a message to make sure vsync is on and fps is set to 60, but don't see the option to do that in Cataylst Control Centre.

It's a fairly old laptop, Dell Studio 1558, but shouldn't be an issue as it's such an old game.

I'm running Windows 7 with an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series. The graphics settings seem to be set though the CCC, accessed by right clicking on desktop. There doesnt seem to be much I can do to get it to run in CCC. So many game issues seem to be caused by my graphics card, it would be good if there was a way to make it run according to what's best for the game.

I've disabled the graphics card, but then I get a message basically saying I need my graphics card enabled for it to run.

Am i just really stupid and don't know how to do the most basic of graphics configurations to get an old game to run? Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like that is in legacy support and the latest driver for it is 15.7.1. Are you using that driver? I would not use the Crimson beta driver.

Device manager says the driver version is 15.200.1062.1004. I can't remember any other ways to check driver version right now.

Had a look on AMD driver utility and verifies the driver version. Says it's up to date. Not sue what you mean by legacy support.


Had a brief look on AMD site.. I can see what you mean by legacy support. Though the latest driver version doesn't seem to be 15.7.1. That's the version for the Catalyst Control Centre if I remember correctly.

Every time i launch the game i keep receiving an error message msvcr100.DLL and msvcp100.DLL.

They are to do with Microsoft visual cpp extensions. When you install the game it will normally natal this for you. You can get the installer file direct from m$ website, not sure which version you need for that game specifically as there are lots of version, I have probably 12 on my machine.
Oh, just to add do not download dlls or anything from the web, go to m$ website and get the installer from there, or re-instal the game and make sure you install the extra options at the end such as directx and cpp extensions. It's possible you cancelled them.
