Not another entry. My entry into the GA is above. It's just something I always wondered. Tau Ceti is 12 light-years from earth, yet the grove arrived there soon enough that The Many could evolve from SHODAN'S mutation experiments... how fast was that grove jettisoned? And why would someone built an emergency jettison system that blasts the grove away at a significant portion of the light-speed? And, at the acceleration necessary for that, why wasn't everything inside the grove killed and turned into a thin paste on the rear walls?

Ah well, probably the grove just dropped through some freak wormhole directly to Tau Ceti.
