Hi everyone!

I was fortunate enough to attend PAX East this year. One of the best parts of PAX East was being able to play and interact with the independent developer's in the IndieMegaBooth. Most of them were really friendly and very passionate about their projects, willing to listen to criticism and praise in equal measure.

But I wanted to let everyone here know how really wonderful the Starcrawlers developers are in real life. I had been eyeing the game since it released on Steam, and once it came to GOG I was ecstatic. So when I spotted their booth at PAX, I immediately went over and began talking with them. During the show they were running a promotion on buying it directly from them. Naturally, I wanted to take advantage of their promotion, but what I had learned before that point was most indie developers at PAX were only selling a Steam code.

I didn't have anything to lose so I asked them about the possibility of a GOG code. They didn't have one with them, but they wanted to get me one. They asked me to come back the next day, which wasn't a problem because I was going to PAX for two days, thankfully. When I arrived the next day, Elena (one of the devs), tried to bring the code up on her phone. As you can imagine, with the amount of people in one place, all fighting for cell phone reception as well as wi-fi access, her phone wasn't working properly. However, she jotted down my email and promised to email me later that night. It wasn't a big deal; I was at PAX all day, so it wasn't like I was going to play the game.

I chatted with both of them for a bit about their game in the meantime, however, and I learned that they were in fact a married couple, working from home, pursuing their dreams of making a game. They were very open about the whole Early Access / In-Development thing, telling me GOG had actually asked them to be a part of their initiative, under the caveat that they actually finish their game. The husband and wife team were both so committed to the game, and both so incredibly friendly, I just felt the need to share my experience with this community.

If you decide to buy Starcrawlers, know that the people you'll be supporting are amazing and well-deserving of your money. I have nothing but the best to say about them as people.

Also, just as promised, later that night, my GOG code arrived in my email.

I'd rather this not turn into a discussion about Early Access / In-Development, but rather just wanted to share my personal experience.
