Dear Forum Members,

U have heard that the Sacred trilogy can be one of the best RP experiences ever. I am wondering, if I only had time to play one (which I barely do), which one is the most essential?

For my money, the first one is the most enjoyable, but it hasn't exactly aged very well. The third would be my least favorite.

Also, is here a way to change my screen name? I don't like this one.

You would need to open a support ticket, but GOG should be able to assist you with that.

First one Sacred Gold is the most fun but it's still a thoroughly mediocre arpg imo, Sacred 2 is also mediocre and Sacred 3 which is not sold on GOG is an abomination, if you want to try Sacred then go with one but i would still recommend Grim Dawn, Titan Quest and even Torchlight series above it.

If by "RP" you mean "gaming", and by "one of the best...experiences ever" you mean "an OK...experience", then sure. =P
But I wouldn't look for great capital-arr-capital-pee Role-Playing in most Diablo-style ARPGs, and as others have said, the Sacred series seems kind of mediocre overall in that subgenre.

Sacred 1 is isometric, both 1 & 2 feel like MMO's.

Sacred 3? What's that? It doesn't exist...

I would jump into 2, because I fear 1 hasn't aged that well. Sadly 3 is an abomination unworthy of being called a Sacred game.
