Telika: They are.
On GOG, we have "the ABC murders". It's a bit of a sleuthing point and click, but half of the gameplay is about opening weird 3D puzzle boxes through odd mechanisms, very reminiscent of the "The Room" series.
So, in one direction, "the ABC murders" serves as a cool demo for "the Room" (imagine gameplay being exclusively about solving those 3D puzzles, in a darker style). In the other direction, "the ABC murders" can offer a fix to those who miss "the Room" (don't pay too much attention to the sleuthing, and enjoy the 3D puzzle boxes).
But yeah, it'd be great to have "The Room" here.
Thanks I had Poirot ABC Murders on my backlog and you've tempted me to get into it. Enjoying the Poirot feel to it too, although the mechanics aren't great and the voice acting off at timesOn GOG, we have "the ABC murders".
