Habanerose: Ok, didn't know it was a pack...

zeogold: Pack of 2 Steam games.

I meant that they couldn't be split up...

Basically the person has a choice of whichever two games they want on the Community Giveaway (Steam Version), that's how I understood it...

Erm... This looks interesting! Could anyone explain me, what "Enigmatic Hints" are all about?

For some time, the staff member JudasIscariot used to give out an "Enigmatic Hint" about what new release GOG was coming out with. from the way I understand it, the first person to guess what the game was would get a free copy of the game.
However, he hasn't done so for the last 3 months or so. To fill in for the absence of these hints, I've decided to run a little game myself until he does one again. For this game, I'll post a poem or a puzzle or some other clue every so often. The first person to correctly guess what it refers to gets that game.

That started from the time they were doing "This Week on GOG" videos on youtube, with TheEnigmaticT giving a hint at the end of the videos. We started a thread discussing them, which once the youtube videos stopped coming evolved to a staff member (first G-Doc from what I recall, then Judas) posting the hint, and offering the game as a prize to the first guesser as well.

Nice! Thank you for explanation. Well then, looking forward for more hints :-]>
I've decided to shut down this thread. I've got a much, MUCH better idea. More complicated, too. Y'all can either derail it or let it die, up to you. For those of you who'd like to derail it:

How did you even find this thread, where the last post is from 478 days ago?

There's even dust on this thread. It's been MORE than a year. o_O

I forget what I had in mind at the time...I think I was trying to organize some sort of riddle-based scavenger hunt then couldn't get enough people to get in on it with me and then the notifications went to crap and a lot of other stuff happened.
I could still pull it off, in theory.

Regarding notifications, you still see notifications in the GOGDownloader. I keep GOGDownloader running at times to check notifications.

Wait, what? That thing gives notifications?

Yes.
Much more accurately than Galaxy.
And it refreshes automatically.
Futuristic Technology, right?

So you're telling me the old Downloader that they dropped support for is working BETTER than what they've got now.
...I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe that's why it's working. :p
