It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The purple dot is supposed to notify when there are new forum replies to you, or a thread you're following, I guess.

But that purple dot never goes away - at least for me. Even when I click the "Forum replies" button and it shows there are no new forum replies for me, the purple dot still stays there. So, I'm wondering if it's bugged.

I'm using the latest version of Chrome browser.

Yes, it is bugged.
Despite the age of your account, "You must be new here."
We do not fear the all seeing, the all knowing, the all encompassing purple dot. It is our protector.

We bask under its warm and nourishing glow every day, and give offerings of weekly gog purchases.

We do not question the purple dot.

We do not anger the purple dot.

We think happy thoughts.

It pleases the purple dot.
chrome browser ?:O oh no
I get the purple dot whenever I microblog on my profile. At first I thought someone replied or liked or whatever, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
You don't say....

An old issue, as others have pointed out.

A bad workaround:

Put a large number of games on your wishlist, so you will frequently get alerts of them being discounted.
When that happens, click that bell icon to clear notifications, and that will also remove the purple dot.

It's a very temporary solution, the dot can return in few minutes in the worst case scenario, but at least that's what really works... reading those messages that caused the purple dot to appear obviously doesn't work.
