****** GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED ******

As more and more people are being forced to stay home by the coronovirus, I thought I would give some games away to help pass the time. I thought we could have some fun at the same time (see bottom of this post).

First, here are the rules:

This giveaway is open to everyone.
In your post list all games you are interested in winning.
If you win a game you must redeem it to your account (if you have a separate account for your games, tell me in chat when you enter).
The giveaway will end when the sale ends.
Make sure that I can contact you in case you win by either making chat public or adding me as a friend. I get very annoyed when I have to chase after people to give them the game.
If you win a game, please redeem it within two weeks or I may consider giving it to someone else.

Thirdly, the alien planet part:

I am the pilot of the intergalactic spacecraft HMS No Hope and have crash landed on an unknown planet in an unknown system (I'm not a very good pilot).
I activate the cryogenic pods that the colonists on board (as in you) have been in stasis in for the last twenty years. I feel I have earned a break and put my feet up to have a nap leaving the exploring of this strange world to the recently awakened colonists.

This is where you come in as said colonists. When you enter the giveaway I want you to then at the bottom of your post tell us a little about your colonist. Next say what it is you are going to do. You could describe yourself exploring the planet or maybe trying to set up a camp by the spaceship.
You may want to follow up on what a fellow colonist is doing or maybe go off on your own and do your own thing. Let your imagination run wild.
If English is not your first language, don't worry, just give it your best shot and try to have fun.

Hello,

Thanks for the giveaway, I would like :

8 - Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition
or
33 - Dishonored: Complete Collection
and because the copilot was faulty too (but managed to manual handbrake at the last second, which is very hard on a space ship):
35 - XCOM®2+War of the Chosen+Tactical Legacy Pack+Resistance Warrior Pack+Reinforcement Pack
---

Colonist :

The spaceship just crash landed a few minutes ago, my cryo pod opened in the vicinity of some other fellow colonist.
I look at the planet we are : "No way this is home" I think to myself.

I then give a glance to the ship : it's clear she won't make it back to the stars.
Others are now awakening too, I feel more confident on my legs and go to see if I can help the weakest of our friends to get up, maybe drink a little.
Luckily, it seems most of the colonisation material is intact, and recognize one of our best engineer who is already trying to get back into the wreckage to salvage the most urgent machinery to put on service. I approach him and ask if I can help.

Thank you very much, Doc! You're the best.
Not in. :)
Nice! This time I'm in. ;)

I'm interested in:
19 - Kerbal Space Program

** ** ** **

I wouldn't have enough courage or confidence in my own abilities to become a colonist so, most likely, I wouldn't be on board of your ship. ;)

But life is full of awful surprises and unfortunate chains of events. And as one of them led me to a new start on some far away planet, I intend to live on fringes of a new community, happily cut off from my previous life. I've brought with myself a huge digital library of books that would be enough for a thousand lifetimes of entertainment and hopefully some useful knowledge in a new place (along with a couple of backups, you never know when your e-reader or files are going to die on you).
I'm trying to organize or build myself a shelter on the edged of our new settlement. It allows me to minimize contacts with others, but at the same time it doesn't cut me off from the community and supplies. Assuming the planet is not particularly inhospitable, I don't really care about efforts to repair the ship. If we were going to start from scratch, we may as well do it here. This planet or that planet, what's the difference? I may be inclined to do my part in setting things up, under a condition that I'm not required to socialize too much.
I try to mix making myself comfortable in the new place, helping a bit with community affairs, and reading. I'd be too scared of getting lost so I'd definitely stay in the vicinity of the crashed ship and new settlement.
Exceedingly generous as always, Doc! :-) I'd like to be in for:-

16 - Whispers of a Machine Blue Edition
17 - Whispers of a Machine
18 - BioShock Infinite Complete Edition
28 - Supraland x 2
33 - Dishonored: Complete Collection x 2

Colonist - 20 years is a long time for no food or exercise and upon stepping out of the cryo-tube he aches all over. But this colonist once read on the Internet that chocolate is a magical cure-all for everything. Since the pilot is asleep, and since this colonist's name is Garrett, he naturally sneaks away from the cryo-pods whilst the other crew-taffers are still waking and raids the pantry. If anyone asks, he'll blame it on the local pagans that have yet to be discovered...

Entering for-

3 - Thimbleweed Park
14 - Phantom Doctrine
19 - Kerbal Space Program

Colonist: Dr. Evany Coldrose is a narrative historian. Having thorougly catalogued and analysed an exhaustive collection of basic story types and tropes and traced their origins and evolutions throughout Earth's history, she signed up to visit an extrasolar colony to see if previous exodans had already modified their tales to something that could never be found on humanity's homeworld.

In the weeks since the crash, she's mostly been sifting through the wreckage trying to find any of her books that survived the impact and following explosions- there were some ancient first editions among them. In the process, she's been listening to crew and passengers talking about what seems to have caused the accident, and there already seem to be several distinct, gradually diverging theories gaining prominence among the different social groups...

This certainly does sound like fun, Doc, so count me in! Your generous nature is much appreciated.

I would be interested in; The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition Deluxe

My character is "Bold' Lee Goah, a Commander in the international space corps. I immediately begin assessing the situation and help direct people who aren't actively engaged in creating order and stability into activities that will aid the collective group of marooned survivors. I also help by keep order and uphold the laws of space travel.
Nice idea for a giveaway! Anyway, I would be interested in:

30. Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure

or

12. Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

I wake up, and find myself on a new spaceship, and think to myself: "more stuff to clean". As the ship lands in the newly founded colony, I take upon my janitroial duties, only to find myself with even more stuff to clean.
"Shouldn't skip class", I think to myself, as I watch ships come and go readying my mop.

Several months later, I managed to pass the test, and have joined the new galaxy exploration missions. With new found enthusiasm, I can now say that I'm thankful that there are no more stuff to clean. Engage!

Colonist dossier
** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
Name: Dr. Ivo Robotnik
Rank: Lead Engeneer
Speciality: Robotics, energy research, mech piloting
Psy-evaluation: IQ - 300, ego - off the charts, tendency for world domination (or just grabbing power and authority)
What will do if crashed on alien planet: salvage all equipment to build the robotic army. So it would assist him and other surviviors in various ways. Also establish laboratory for research of the planet for possible precious resources and other benefits.

Hearing someone raiding the pantry I hastily get up and make for the door only to trip over the snoozing body of my co-pilot Lone_Scout and face-plant into a wall.

I make a note to myself that if I ever make it back to base to put all the blame for the crash onto him.

Lone_Scout has generously added some games to the giveaway (check post 1) so find him and upvote him.
A superb giveaway, and while I didn't intend to partake at first, there are some games I just could not pass up:

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

Book of Demons

As for my poor colonist... well, things are looking rather bleak, as I don't have much in terms of survival skills. But there's one thing I think is pivotal to the whole colonisation thing. To the mental well-being of all humans of this planet. I'll stock up on whatever food we've got (and squicky toys if we've got any in the cargo hold) and go to find and try to tame whatever the local equivalent of a wolf is. So we can have dogs. We need dogs. Good dogs.

Now, it's more than likely that I will end up being eaten by the alien wolves, or something worse if it finds me first, but some things are worth the risk. And hey - if it works and I have a pet wolf, the odds of my survival from that point on will sky-rocket!
Thanks for the amazing generosity once again! :D :D :D

I'm in for any of the following:

8 - Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition
16 - Whispers of a Machine Blue Edition
23 - The Technomancer
33 - Dishonored: Complete Collection x 2
34 - Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

My colonist is actually a 15th century bard that accidentally traveled to the future and exchanged places with a mad scientist who was trying to run a time travel experiment at the exact same time he was frozen in the cryogenic capsule. He's utterly lost and unable to communicate since his language is long lost by space travel time standards. For now, he believes he's in some sort of hell and that, maybe, those weird people surrounding him are trying to help.

He had a reputation for being a quick learner when it came to languages. Maybe he will be able to use that talent in his favor? Who knows?

Thanks for the chance!

In for:
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Whispers of a Machine Blue Edition
Whispers of a Machine
XCOM 2

We exit the ship and find ourselves on a planet with vegetation similar to Earth's. We split up into groups after assigning a meeting point at the bottom of the mountain up ahead in the far distance. Waiting time is 24 hours.

We start our exploration journey in different directions, and as we progress we start noticing that the flora and fauna is strikingly similar to Earth's.

We approach a river and notice a few apple trees. I'm starting to suspect we've travelled in time and ended up on Earth again...

I would like to say I already have the base game for Darkest dungeon so but not the DLC, but if you want to give that as a complete package please do not enter me for it. If you still enter me for it please give the base game to another person if i win that.

My guy wakes up... head hurts and slightly hungry. He thinks that he needs to look at this situation then explore the area to set up a reliable base and a way to get food. Medical stuff can wait till we get our selves together and make a small government and some kind of way to tell in the natives are safe..
