Another one we used to get in a can (under the name "Boston Brown Bread"). Appropriately enough, this one is actually cooked in a can in the most authentic recipes. This recipe seems close to what you describe, if you omit the raisins. I found alternate variations here and here and here. There are a ton of different recipes for this one, but it's a good holiday choice whichever you use!
