ConsulCaesar: Note that MaGOG's data only covers until September 30, 2019. I think it should still be close to reality though.

Cavalary: Data for the listed games is up to date, as of 3-4 hours ago, according to what it currently says at the bottom of the page. Legacy Mode means it doesn't list games added after the cutoff date (unless they were already in the database before, or are DLCs for games that are covered).
Thanks for the clarification! :)
The highest rated are the unrated, which is misleading at best. Always makes me grumble when I think I’m looking at a high rated game and it’s actually total tosh. And why can’t we sort according to price?

Time4Tea: Hey, so I was curious as to what is the highest-rated game on GOG. I had a look at this page. If we exclude DLCs and games that have too few reviews to provide a rating, the highest rated game on the site seems to be ...

Original War

with an average user rating of 4.9. That's higher than Deus Ex, Morrowind, Xcom, Witcher 3, System Shock 2.

I haven't played it myself, but it's on my wishlist. I must say, it's rather tempting for its on-sale price of $1.

Any comments from those that have played it? Does it deserve to be the highest-rated game? If so, what is so good about it? How does it stack up against the RTS genre greats, like C&C, Starcraft, Warcraft?
Timed4Tea you should buy it IMHO i tried it out, so far i am only on the first mission, but it looks cool. It's EXTREMELY slow paced but it's rather rewarding and the graphics have their own style after all these years
