Well, having redownloaded and tried every fix I've come across, I STILL cannot get Galactic Civilisations 1 to bloody run... stupid steam!

aye. todays update has fucked a bunch of people over - though my issue is unrelated

Edit: this is the problem im having (yet the game worked last year) http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2876006 - even tried the last posted suggestion (after makign the right path to the files on my system)... STILL NOWT!

Not sure what version of windows you're running, maybe W7 64-bit? If so, have you tried this by chance? Probably so but thought it was worth asking ;-)

Edit: even created shortcuts for all the files and copied the path (minus the "") to be 100% sure

Well I bought risen 3 (and payed) and downloaded it.. Then it happened. I was ready for risen. I was not. I saw german, I googled and english was that 1,6 gigs more. pack Well gothic 3 is better. I'm still ready for liking it tomorrow but still roots.. Risen 1 was great, that's not easy to like.

Demon hunter I guess If *I'll think about it.

Maybe it looked like a console-game because I was trying to play with a console I mean there's stuff with those quickbars but still why I must be some big titted girls brother. It sucks. I have no soul anymore. and I don't remember risen 2 being decent
